I'd gou adding in some combination of a detail, an opinion or a life theory about whatever you did, and the other person will probably be better able to grab on and move forward. Your date is puzzled because it is a weird answer to the question. I'm thinking and reading about a lot of different concepts, sometimes in prep for writing and sometimes not.

If I sound apologetic about it I get pushback. I often have a work function or someone's birthday at least times a week. Pluck pretty much all of my eyebrow hairs out to try and resemble Christina Aguilera circa ; true story. Maybe dude is both an extrovert and also very low on empathy? They want to know that you fin a good sense of how to keep yourself from being overwhelmed with work stress without spending so much time on non-work activities that your productivity suffers.
